A new rank of members has come to light: Elders.
This rank is a priviledge, giving you an edge when signing up for Guildevents.
Why this new rank?
The purpose of this rank is to select the members, who are interested and active in PvE guildraids, and give them a higher chance of getting into a guildraid. This will, hopefully, result in better teambuilding; people will get more accustomed in play with oneanother, rather than new formations every time.
How does it work?
Every guildraid will have a set amount of Elder-spots. This will start at around 50% of the spots per class for MC, but might later be tuned up to 75%. For ZG, this is 66%. (Most classes are 3 required in ZG, so 2 Elderspots.)
When Elder's sign up for a raid, they will always be able to join the mainlist, unless the Elder-spots are already taken in their class.
How do I become an Elder?
Being an Elder, requires a good end-game gear and skill in raids. To give an idea of the equipment requirement:
7 out of 8 rare-set pieces must be gather, or filled with items of equivalent or better strength. A good weapon is a must-have for damagedealing classes, but aswell a criteria for healing/supporting classes. This means your gear will mostly have to find it's origin in Dire Maul, Scholomance, Stratholme, Blackrockspire or higher instances. Ofcourse this is not a strict requirement, but a general idea of what power your gear should have...
Trinkets, rings, necklace and cape can somewhat compensate for having a lesser weapon or lesser armor.
Raidskills are determined by patience in raids, and just general capability. How do you heal/tank/do damage?
Some guild-social skills can as well help you become an Elder; like being active in guildchat by replying to person's questions, etc, helping out when you can...
But the most important requirement is that you will be active in guildraids! This is the intention of the rank, and you could lose it, if you're not much active in the raids.
Becoming an Elder
If you think you got what it takes to become an Elder, you can sign up by sending Sharunos a PM on the forums, an email in- or out-game.
Elders will be added slowly, and it will not be a rank easy to achieve. It will always remain a priviledge, and you can be demoted back to Member due to bad behaviour.
But it might as well occur that you are offered to become one, eventhough you haven't put a request.
