High Priest Venoxis (ZG boss one)
home.planet.nl/~meule512/Newborn%20Phoenix/Venoxis-strat.jpg
Details on Venoxis:
Starts out as a humanoid priest, will shift to a Snakeform at about 50% of his life.
Priest spells: Renew (heal); AoE damagers (INcreasing dmg chain, 'holy nova'-like)
Snakeform spells: Poison Clouds (300dps)
- red dot: Venoxis; Vstart is his starting position; Vtank is where the Maintank will hold Venoxis
- green dot: Maintank
- blue dots: Snake adds; S1 to S4 representing their starting locations
- dark blue dot: Snake puller (SP)
- bright blue dot: paladin debuffed (P1)
- pink dots: Mobcontrol team: consisting of 3 mages/druids; starting position MC1; MC2 their 2nd position
US: maindamage/healing group
- Yellow dots: melee fighters
- black dots: healers and ranged damagers
- orange dot: campfire
- Trafficsign: OFF LIMITS
Strategy:
The MT will will pull the boss from the stairs to Vtank and will keep him there during the fight.
At the moment of pulling, the MobControl team moves forward to MC2 and sheeps/sleeps S2-4. S1 is pulled by the SP and killed of by US. SP(hunter) then marks the next target and pulls it again, untill all adds are down.
At this moment Ranged DPS starts on Venoxis. Very important is that no melee goes near him, because of the devastating AoE. Hunters should keep vipersting active on the priest, to drain his mana. When he casts renew this should be dispelled asap (magic-effect).
P1 is the pally making sure that Venoxis constantly has Judgement of Wisdom on him, so that priests/mages can wand for mana. He is allowed to run quickly to Venoxis, do the buff, and return back again. This must be done, right AFTER the priest has done the "Holy Nova"-thing, to prevent the paladin from taking damage.
At 50% of his life, Snakeform will come and this will whipe all aggro. Thus damage has to stop for a while to make the MT able to gain attention again.
At the given signal both melee and ranged DPS can go all out. Everyone still has to watch out for the deadly poison clouds: move out of them asap. it is important that rogues try to backup when almost dead and use First Aid to recover as well. Paladins have to try and help some on healing as well, but can join in the melee.
During the entire fight: NONE is allowed to pass through the gate. This will reset the boss!
